Wednesday in the First Week of Lent
Luke 11:29-32

While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who are addicted to drugs, that they may find strength in Christ alone.

It's amazing to think about how deliberate God is. Jonah was in the belly of the large fish for three days, and then appeared again. Christ rose from the dead in three days.

I have always been good at missing His deliberateness in my life, but I have had a few "lightbulb" moments. Those moments are a great grace in reminding me how much God love me and truly does desire to reveal Himself to me.

There are many times when I don't understand His ways or His blessings. Thankfully, He is great at reminding me so that I always remember that He is my Lord and my God. There truly is something greater than Jonah here.

Take care and God Bless.
