Matthew 9:32-38

A demoniac who could not speak was brought to Jesus, and when the demon was driven out the mute man spoke. The crowds were amazed and said, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel." But the Pharisees said, "He drives out demons by the prince of demons."

Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for the spiritual goals for World Youth Day 2008 and for a happy outcome.

Yesterday I saw a video called "God in the Streets of New York City" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX5X2cXMh0o). It's a very well done video that inspired me last night. I had so many things on my mind, but after watching that video and reading yesterday's reading, all I could think about was following Him and bringing Our Beloved Lord to the nations.

How are you called to bring Christ to others? How are you called to bring Christ to the streets, to the hopeless, and to the lost? Everyday we are called to join in His labor. Everyday we are called to bring Christ with us in small things WITH HE Who is Love.

If you are willing to bring Christ to others, prepare for the voices. The voices that make you want to believe that you're not good enough for the harvest. The voices that make you want to believe that you're better than others who participate in the harvest. Just as the Pharisees thought to themselves that Christ was driving out demons by the prince of demons, you will be questioned by others and you will be questioned by your own heart.

Know this: God calls each of us to be laborers in His harvest, no matter how incomplete or overconfident you may be. God is calling you to bring Him to the nations. Regardless of your age, your race, your education level, etc... God calls you to join in His harvest. Take care, pray up, and God Bless.
