Matthew 18:1-5, 10, 12-14

The disciples approached Jesus and said, "Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?" He called a child over, placed it in their midst, and said, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.

"See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father. What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for a special intention.

A friend of mine from high school once told me that he didn't want me coming over to his house because he didn't want his parents hearing how much I swore. Thankfully, the habit was broken one Lent when I put a quarter in for every time I swore and collected $46.

I used to think that as long as I know how I stand on my faith journey, then it didn't matter what people heard coming out of my mouth. I used to watch the Charles Barkey commercials when he says, "I am not a role model," and I used to think to myself, "preach on."

It's amazing how much kids pick up. The daughter of a girl I dated started saying that I said and her mother would give me dirty looks because she didn't want her daughter saying that.

It's also amazing how much people pick up. I don't know how many times I've seen someone who I respected and thought to myself, "if they're watching this movie, then I should be okay as well."

It's also amazing how unspoken words can ring out true, from the way we dress to the way we drive.

I know that so many of my actions and words don't lead others to Christ, and I pray that through His grace, I can reflect His light so that others may come to know His glory. Take care and God Bless.
