Mark 6:53-56

After making the crossing to the other side of the sea, Jesus and his disciples came to land at Gennesaret and tied up there. As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him. They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for world leaders, that they may enact laws that defend life from conception to natural death.

My grandfather has been dealing with colon cancer for a while now, and currently he is in a care home. My mother is doing the best she can to make sure that he is getting the help that he needs.

When it obvious, we all know that we need to bring someone to the hospital. My grandfather doesn't want to be there, and in fact I hear stories about how he does his best to rebel against those caring for him. Yet, my mom knows that what is best for him is to receive care.

There are a lot of people I know who are in need of spiritual healing and I am definitely one of them. How often do I extend the invitation for those who are in need of healing to come to Our Lord and receive? How often do I get out of the way and let God accomplish the work He has planned in the lives of those who I desire to bring to Him?

He is there, ready to heal us of our brokenness. Let us come and receive His healing, and let us invite others to come and receive as well. Take care and God Bless.
