Matthew 11: 25-27
At that time Jesus exclaimed: "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."
Dawg's Thought:
Today's prayer intention - for those who will be going through surgery.
When sin entered into the world, the evil one planed the seed of doubt, that God was hiding something from them.
In my life today, I struggle a lot because of what is hidden in my life. It's hard to see beyond the stress of finances, tasks, and uncertainty about my future. If there were a tree with the fruit that would give me the knowledge of God so I could see past these uncertainties, would I grasp for it?
Or, would I accept with gratitude what I have, and trust that God will provide in His time? Is that what it means to be childlike? If that's the case, I can see why Adam and Eve struggled with following the one command God gave them. Especially in the world we live in today, where anything is accessible to us at the click of a button.
It is good to trust in Lord like a child. It is good to trust in the Lord Who is good.
