Thursday of the Second Week of Easter
John 3: 31-36

The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy. For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift of the Spirit. The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

Dawg's Thought:

Today's prayer intention - for the repose of the soul of Marco Holt.

In my normal job, I work with websites (yes, the Dawg's Thought website is still a design from many, many years ago). One of the things that we have to do in creating websites is making sure that a website is trustworthy.

One of the biggest keys to ensuring that a website is trustworthy is finding out if other trustworthy websites link to yours.

Although I am not the first, I would like take this moment to post a link ... a like ... a whatever you want to call it back to Our Lord. There have been many others who point back to Our Lord. We have a great litany of Saints, modern day examples of holiness (Blessed Mother Teresa and Blessed John Paul the Great), and we have men and women living the call of holiness the best they can.

Are you pointing to the trustworthiness of Our Lord?

When you post a link pointing to the trustworthiness of a website, you most likely won't see all the traffic that is going to the website. In the same way, many of the Saints who have gone before us probably didn't know what impact they would have by pointing to the trustworthiness of God. Yet, many of us are inspired through their witness.

You may never know who you will affect by pointing to God. You may never know how accepting and living the testimony of Christ will help someone who may be struggling with their faith. I know I struggle many times when it comes to having faith in God. I don't doubt His existence, but many times I doubt from the struggles in "earthly things." I can tell you from my own experience that the faith and prayers of those who point to Our Lord have helped bring me back to remembering that God is trustworthy.

Take care and God Bless.
