Tuesday in Second Week of Easter
Mark 16:15-20??Jesus appeared to the Eleven and said to them: "Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. They will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."??Then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them, was taken up into heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God. But they went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for strength for parents who have a tremendous responsibility in raising their children in today's society.

Can you imagine if we all stayed in Church? After all, we're in the presence of Jesus! We don't have to worry about people being mean to us like those "outsiders" in the world. We don't have to worry about people rejecting us because of our faith.

Can you imagine if Christ stayed in heaven? After all, he didn't have to become incarnate! He wouldn't have had to worry about people killing him in the world. He wouldn't have to worry about His friends rejecting Him.

We know the rest of the story: He rose from the dead and then ascended in heaven. We know this to be Truth. Right before He returned to heaven, He gave the disciples the Great Commission. This great commission continues with us today and remains with us until the day Jesus brings us home. Take care and God Bless.
