Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for the those who are in the military overseas, that they may return to their families safely.

Through our sufferings, Christ calls to us. Through our burdens, Christ invites us to receive His mercy.

When we look at the story of Mary and Martha, Martha is consumed with getting everything ready to make The Lord feel welcome in her home. Mary has already welcomed The Lord in her heart.

While it is important to work, for God gave us the work we have been entrusted with, it is also important to remember to allow ourselves to welcome The Lord in our time when we feel burdened. When we allow The Lord to enter into our lives, we invite The Lord to transform us so that we may be holy. Take care and God Bless.
