Tuesday in the First Week of Advent
Luke 10:21-24

Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."

Turning to the disciples in private he said, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for the repose of the souls of Fr.Abraham Joseph, P.I.Joseph, Mrs.Annakutty Joseph, George Kunjamen, Norman Gibson, Mrs.Mendez, and Mrs.Thresiamma.

Every now and then I reminisce about what it would be like to be a child again. I reminisce about what it would be like without all the different distractions in my life. Life was much simpler when you knew and could trust that things in your life would be provided for.

With that in mind, would trusting in God's providence simplify your life? Would a firm hope in God's providence help you see Him clearer?

As the new liturgical year has started, I desire to trust in God more in the hopes that my faith would become childlike.

This Sunday at a church I went to while I was out of town, the priest talked about the rings of a tree. He talked about how it was important to continue to grow in faith just like the tree.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us as we place our trust in You. Take care and God Bless.
