Matthew 15:1-2, 10-14

Some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands when they eat a meal." He summoned the crowd and said to them, "Hear and understand. It is not what enters one's mouth that defiles the man; but what comes out of the mouth is what defiles one." Then his disciples approached and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees took offense when they heard what you said?" He said in reply, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who considering getting an abortion, that God may grant them the strength to choose to give life to their child.

Looking back at my life, I can see those times when I chose the truth of the moment versus God truth. There were times when the "blind guide" was someone in my life, and there were times when I was the "blind guide", putting myself before Christ.

These moments of being a blind guide were driven by fear. Fear of losing control... fear of being judged... fear of being isolated, which ultimately led to me losing control, judging others and myself, and isolating myself from The One Who knows and loves me best.

I am thankful for those times of fear, for through those times, I know now more than ever that His ways are not the ways of the blind, but of the wise.

So, my prayer for myself and for you is that you offer those moments in your life where you were the blind guide or you were led by a blind guide. Let us offer them to Him so that we can grow in faith and trust in His ways. Let us offer them for our own purification for the purification of those we may hurt in our lives. Let us offer them to The One Who desires lead me, you, and those in our lives to heaven.

He knows the way. Take care and God Bless.
