Monday in the Fifth Week of Easter
John 14: 6-14

Jesus said to Thomas, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him." Philip said to him, "Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for those who will be orainded as priests next month, that they may be consoled and given wisdom in their vocation.

Job Listing, Posted Monday, May 3rd 2010

Are you seeking an opportunity that goes beyond your normal 9 to 5? The Church is currently seeking applicants to believe in Our Lord Jesus Christ. In truly believing, you are invited to do the work of Christ here on this earth, for He has ascended to The Father.

Applicants must be willing to humble themselves and seek the will of The Father. In doing so, they must not only be content with allowing Christ to work in them and through them, but they should understand that this may have a conflict with their own will.

Willing applicants should also be willing to pray daily, making constant offerings of their blessings and sufferings, to the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. A strong commitment in knowing Christ through Word and Sacrament is also required in order for Christ to be known.

Do you have what it takes? If not, fear not: Christ will supply the grace needed in your deficiencies. This does not mean that you should slack in your commitment in knowing Christ and offering your total self to Him. Hopefully, the more you offer, the more you will realize your need for His grace in your deficiencies.

All applications will be accepted.

(In hindsight, I should have done a wedding invitation rather than a job post. Take care and God Bless.)
