Tuesday in the First Week of Advent 2008
Luke 10:21-24

Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."

Turning to the disciples in private he said, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for Joey Arvallo, for his health.

I had the opportunity to hang out with some friends who I haven't seen in a while. During our time of catching up, we talked about the days when computers were much more primitive than we have now. I still remember the ancient computer that I had that couldn't render any images ... just text.

It made me think about what computers would be like 20 years from now.

What's more amazing is that while technology may change, and while science may reveal more and more, God is unchanging. Even today, the Lord's ways are hidden from the prideful and revealed to the childlike. Even today, the Son is revealing the The Father to us. Even today, many prophets and kings desire to see, but cannot see.

We are blessed through God, and that blessing will stand the test of time ... unlike my old computer. Take care and God Bless.
