Thursday in the Third Week of Easter
John 6:44-51

Jesus said to the crowds: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day. It is written in the prophets: They shall all be taught by God. Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is in thanksgiving for the birth of Zoemia Maria this morning (my new God-daughter).

Here's your invitation.

You are invited to share in Christ's invitation to eternal life with Him. Here is your invitation to receive His Body and His Blood so that you can experience eternal life.

As we look forward to the hope of the resurrection of our bodies, we must also consider Christ's invitation to us today to participate and experience His resurrected body in receiving Him. It is through receiving Him, dying and rising in the waters of baptism with Him, and being led by The Holy Spirit through Him, that we share in the resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Today, let us remember our call to holiness as we look to the prize of eternal life through His sacrifice of His Body and Blood for us. Take care and God Bless.
