Tuesday in the Third Week of Advent
Matthew 21:28-32

Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people: "What is your opinion? A man had two sons. He came to the first and said, 'Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.' The son said in reply, 'I will not,' but afterwards he changed his mind and went. The man came to the other son and gave the same order. He said in reply, 'Yes, sir,' but did not go. Which of the two did his father's will?" They answered, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the Kingdom of God before you. When John came to you in the way of righteousness, you did not believe him; but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Yet even when you saw that, you did not later change your minds and believe him."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is in thanksgiving for blessings received.

In a lot of the jobs I have been to, there has always been one thing that stumps myself and those who are in charge: what is your job title? I never gave much thought to job titles because I normally try to do as I'm told as best as I can.

Yet, I have also been on the designer that has to make up the business cards and often times, there are people who really give a great importance to job titles. If you're a part of LinkedIn.com, I'm sure that you have seen some creative ones.

There are job titles, and there is the job that you do. There is the faith that we tell others is wonderful, and there is the faith that transforms us. There is a love that is sentimental, and there is a love that is a sacrifice.

Last week, I was hit by a car while I was riding my bike. The next morning, my father flew in from Hawaii 14 hours after I was hit ... 13 hours after I was conscious enough to call. In the hospital, 3 of my friends took turns comforting me at my bedside, while another one of them dropped what he was doing and drove off to get my bike from the police station. Many prayers of support came into my email and voicemail.

When you are asked to act, how will you respond? I was thankful to be greeted by a great response of love. Praise be to God!

Take care and God Bless!
