Matthew 11:25-27

At that time Jesus exclaimed: "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for safety for those who are traveling.

When I was a child, my brothers did that thing with their hands that made it look like they were removing their thumbs and then attaching them on again. I tried so hard to make my thumb come off, but I could never do it.

My idea of what was possible was open.

I had dinner tonight with some friends, and during the dinner, a friend of mine took out some photos of what life was like 8 years ago. It seemed so long ago. Back then, the realm of what was possible was completely open. I just remember thinking, "if God is on my side, I know He will protect me."

It's good to be reminded of what God can do you in your life and what He wants to do you in your life. He wants to reveal His glory to you. It may be through your struggles or it may be through your strengths. It may be in times of struggle or it may be in times of abundance.

He wants to reveal Himself to you, and He hope that you'll receive Him with a childlike faith. Have you ever offered your gifts and yourself only to be rejected or turned away? On one level, there is the rejection of the self that hurts. On another level, though, there is a sadness when you see that your gifts could have made a difference.

God wants to be that difference in our lives today. Jesus wants to reveal His glory to you today. Whether it be in your sadness, or anger, or tiredness, or joy, or loneliness, or (insert your own "emoticon" here... you know... :) or :D or :( or >:[ ...), have faith that He is using that for His glory so that your joy may be complete. Take care and God Bless.
