Matthew 7: 15-20

Jesus said to his disciples: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by their fruits you will know them."

Dawg's Thought:

Today's prayer intention - for a special intention.

To be known.

It is a human desire, yet I share this same struggle with many I know. I want to be known for no other sake than than to be known. Well, then again, there's the part of us that we want to be known for that we want known, and the part that we'd rather hide tucked away.

Yet, for as much as you want to escape the part of you that you want to be unknown, "by your fruit, they will know you." Just like a company that wants to hide all the bad publicity by saturating the market with positive information, I have done my best to surround myself with good works so that people think that this is who I am. Being known is a desire, but it is also scary when you take into account the total person.

When I think of all the imperfections that comes with original sin, it makes me glad for the faith that we have. Christ, being the Truth, bore good fruit that will last long after the buildings of this earth are gone. Truth, in the person of Christ, will last in heaven for all eternity. It is His fruit that I want to bear, and in seeing the fruit, hopefully it will not be me that is known, but Christ. Take care and God Bless.
