Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Matthew 11:25-30

At that time Jesus exclaimed: "I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.

"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."

Dawg's thought:

Today's prayer intention is for Stephen and Dianne Phelan, who were married last Friday.

Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Let the world have Valentine's Day. We have this day to receive His love. We have this day to recall His faithfulness to each of us.

I don't know about you, but today has been a busy day. In fact, the past few weeks have been pretty tiring on me. I haven't been getting as much sleep as I should be and it seems like things in my life just can't seem to get in order.

Then came today's reading... a message from my Beloved Savior reminding me of His love for me and reminding me that He is there.

The bouquet He offers us will not fade and wilt in time. The feast He brings before us is Himself in the Eucharist.

Let us give thanks for His love this day through all the blessings and trials of this day. Take care and God Bless.
